Repeat Rewind Rephrase was a programme of events initiated by artists Natalie Marr and Daniella Valz Gen, delivered in the summer of 2012. RRR explored the different degrees in which creative practitioners engage with the wealth of performance practices that have come before. From sampling, quoting and referencing to re-staging and re-interpreting, the programme sought to explore a diversity of acts of appropriation. Ranging from concerns around liveness and physicality to the authenticity and experience of performance through documentation, the programme will engaged with various issues relating to this body of work both for the artist and audience.
