Ma kajan / There is an Echo in Me

An installation by Piibe Kolka, Élisabeth de Bézenac and Natalie Marr inspired by nocturnal intimacies, late night encounters, and dreams and visions that come from the dark. Ma kajan opened at the Estonian National Museum on February 17th 2024 as part of a wider exhibition called Kellele kuulub öö? (Who claims the night?). The exhibition will be open to the public until February 2025. For further information on the show, visit: https://www.erm.ee/et/kellele-kuulub-oo

hi dear! did you just arrive? bubbles or rose water?

i have something for you, just finished it yesterday, want to try it on?

what's that in your pocket?

come now, i’ll let you look around and you’ll remember. don’t worry it only hurts a bit.

you do have a really long tail, and wings.

oh, so you’re alone in the house? well, pay it no mind.

come forward, come down, come hither.

there are other echoes here too, you know.

let me take your shoes.

tell me, what do you see in your dreams?
